Inspiring Girls USA was launched in July 2020 and, ever since, it has been working with schools and organizations across the country to connect students with role models, operating nationally with a focus on Greater New York City. The team has also grown to incorporate a Board of Directors, a Junior Board, and a national Network of Young Ambassadors.
Over the years, Inspiring Girls USA has expanded its corporate and youth partner network significantly and now reaches 1,000+ girls annually. They have launched an Inspiring Girls Circles program, a student-led group for girls to explore futures together. Since 2023, their signature program with BlackRock - Financial Seminars - has reached nearly 500 girls with financial knowledge and skills. Their activities have also included speed-networking sessions, office visits, and other dynamic programming.

Lauren Surzyn
Lauren Surzyn is a Founding Board Member and has served as Chair of Inspiring Girls USA since 2020. Alongside her career in financial services, she has spent over two decades volunteering for causes focused on fundraising, mentorship, and empowering the next generation. Lauren believes that connecting girls with real role models of varying backgrounds is one of the most powerful ways to raise their ambition and expand what they can achieve.
